On swollen tongues and Christmas songs

Sick again, hippity hop. Sick again, when will it stop?

Ha. Just felt like a rhyme.

So here's the deal. If a doctor asks you if you're allergic to a medication, which you have never taken, how are you supposed to respond. Um, I don't know. That's pretty much what I said. Thankfully, having been asked the question, I was a little more alert to my body when I did down the massive horse pill.

Um...huh, what's this feeling in my throat? Probably the cold. Drainage. You know, all the fun stuff of being sick.

So there I sat, feeling a little bit weird, just 30 minutes post pill. Up from the couch I hopped, into the bathroom I trotted. What do you know? I don't think a tongue is supposed to be that fat. Oops.

But really, how often do you look at your tongue? Me? Rarely. So I sat and studied mine until finally convinced the big fat lumpy sausage was not my normal tongue.

Calls to the pharmacist ensued. Benadryl was ingested. All is well.

Except my tongue is still freaking huge!

Let's hope that goes away lest I henceforth be known as the woman whose tongue was too big for her mouth.

In other news, years ago we received one of those singing stuffed things Hallmark sells each year. This one, a snowman and his puppy, sings Jingle Bells. The dog sings along, while wagging his tail. I hadn't thought much about it until this morning when the little man started to sing.

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way....woof woof woof, woof woof, woof woof, woof woof woof woof woof woof woof."

Time for Mama to break out the Christmas music. :)

Happy day, all!

Awwww! I hope it's gone down!

I LOVE and collect those singing plush toys. I'm the annoying person who sits in the aisle and plays every single one. Multiple times.

I too love the singing christmas toys. I have quite a number of them, my latest favorite signs: I'm a snowman ba da da da da . . .. they dance, they jiggle, the shake their rear.
I really enjoyed when my inlaws visited and the youngest nephew also enjoyed all the singing.

The tongue seems to be shrinking, thank goodness! LOL!

Those little plush singers are cute, aren't they? We only have the one, but it gets its share of playing. I love that the dog shakes his tale and rings the bells. :)

Spy - You're so cute! I wish I saw more like you during the holidays. I avoid the stores because people all seem so grumpy.

Lisa - The butt-shakers are the best! :)

Oh yes, I have a dancing bear who sings 'Shake Shake Shake', It turns around and wiggles his butt than turns back around.
I have to 'hip/hop frogs' they bounce, oh that's just the tip. I think I have around 15 or so.
Takes me a day to decorate the inside of my house. I DO wonder sometimes why I do it each year, but yet I do.

Did you call the doctor? If you're allergic, it could be bad if you keep taking it.

I hope you get well soon! I just got over a 4 month string of colds and flus.
