Halfway home

Look at that! Halfway through the month and I've actually managed to post everyday. I admit yesterday's post was a total cop-out, but I'm still counting it. It's a great contest.

Speaking of contests (lest anyone forget), the February Blog Party is going strong. Keep the comments coming to increase your chances to win. And don't forget to spread the word. More new friends/followers means more prizes! Full details in the sidebar ----->

I was all geared up to talk about Voice today, but that's going to have to wait for tomorrow. Look for it bright and early. Hopefully I'll be able to type it. As it is, I'm punching at the keys with all my fingers but only one thumb. During Saturday's yard work extravaganza, one of my rose bushes stabbed my poor thumb knuckle with a thorn. I thought that was the end of it, but since then said thumb has swollen into a sausage.

What is up with that?!

Needless to say, I'm in a bit of pain and poor thumby won't bend. Ugh. The things I manage to do to myself. I'm telling you.

So yeah, lame post again. My apologies, sweets. Tomorrow will be better. Promise.

Sorry about your thumb! But you know what they say about roses. (Wasn't it the band Poison who totally stole that saying?)

And hey, at least you have lovely flowers. Some of us are slogging through mud and snow. But I'm not jealous or anything. (Hee, hee.)

Feel better!

Sorry about your thumb!!! Hooray for writing all this month! I love the posts... even the cop-outs (which I still enjoy!)

Thumb injuries are the worst!! Bad roses...bad! Congrats on posting every day so far in February -- keep it up!

((hugs)) Nicole

Congrats to you for posting ever day. I must bow down to you, master blogger. It's hard for me to come up with enough posts for a week, sometimes. : )

I know, blogging everyday is sooo hard. I started blogging in early January and never thought I'd have enough followers to be at seven blogs a week. But, yay, they love us!

OMG, my word verification is chili!

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the thumb!! I'm impressed you have rose bushes, though, and that you're taking care of them in February!!

I'm giving away a book on my blog this week! Stop by to enter!

aw sorry about your thumb! Though I don't laugh at your pain, you sure do have a way of writing about it to make me laugh :-)

Awww poor thumb! I'm with Sarah sorry you're in pain but the way you tell it is very funny. Yay blogging every day! I love them too, look forward to reading it.

Jackee - Thanks! Come summer, you can rub my nose in the fact that you're enjoying 80 degree days. :)

Jen - You're so sweet. Thanks for enjoying my nonsense. LOL

Nicole - Very bad roses! But I'd let the thing grow wild for 2 years. This was my payback for butchering it (only a little).

Kimberly - As you can see, not every post has a topic, or even a point. But I keep trying. ;)

Jonathan - Yay chili! Now come up with a blog about that. ;)

Heidi - I'm on my way!

Sara - Oh, feel free to laugh away! I'm happy to oblige.

Crystal - I'm just happy to entertain any way I can.

Dangerous - I know. :( But snow is pretty, right?

Okay, I am a little slow lately. Just noticed the whole blog contest thing now! :) What a cool idea! Can we go back and comment on earlier posts?

For me, the more I blog, the more I feel like blogging. So every day might actually be easier than the once a week I have been averaging this month!

Whoa, I hope your thumb gets better! Ow.

Anissa said...

Corey - Absolutely!

Jessica - Thanks! It's moving better now. I think maybe it got hot (for some reason typing that cracked me up!) and swelled into an insanely fat sausage thumb. I'm hopeful for a regular-sized appendage tomorrow.
