I woke up this morning and immediately thought, "What am I going to blog about today?" Then I realized February was over. But I still wanted to blog. Hooray! The pressure is off, but the desire is still there. I guess what they say is true. You can develop good habits. Though it's not like I have a ton to say today. I just didn't want to lose touch with the fabulousity that is my blogging buddies.
On the writing front, the green pen is seeing some action. At last. I'm not sure if it's just that I'm getting burned out on the project or what, but I'm being to fear it has no voice. No narrative voice to be specific. Ugh. I hope it's just me because trying to instill voice in an already-written project is next to impossible. At least for me. So I will continue to plug away. I'll let my CP break the news to me if need be.
How goes the writing on your end? What are you working on these days?

I woke up this morning and immediately thought, "CRAP...why do I have to get up at such an ungodly hour?"
I'm still tinkering away with edits on my manuscript and getting my ass kicked by my query letter. :(
I'm sure it does have voice. :-) Maybe it just needs refining?
Woohoo that you met your goals!
Hi, Anissa. I just popped over from Jackee's blog. Want to wish you luck with your projects. I'm trying to get to the end of the novel I've been working on for a year. Almost there!
I'm glad to hear about the green pen! Yay! I'm working on some greenness of my own. ;)
I'm not working on anything right now. My last rewrite is in its "curing oven" for two weeks, then I'll take it out for another read. Hopefully it's nearing a point where I can send it out. But I will not rush it!
Congrats on still wanting to post and creating some good habits. :) My writing is problematic right now. :(
I did a really short, but honest post today. (American Idol and Biggest Loser were on. I'm addicted...) It's okay to not have a 600 word post every time.
Voice can come in later drafts, once you've got your story. Don't stress- just enjoy the ride!
Yay for meeting your goals!
I have currently been on hold for writing due to frustrations on whether to edit or not. I plan on posting about that tomorrow, lol. Right now working on my MS Finding Me and 30,000 words down so feeling good!
Good luck with your green pen. LOL.
I'm currently working on a romance, and it's kicking my butt. I've been stuck on 8,000 words for two days. Not good. :P
I'm a fellow writer and completely feel your pain in being told something lacks voice. When I hear a comment like that, I'm thinking, "You're not listening hard enough!" I'd be curious to know more about what you're writing these days (apart from your blog).
I think you're too hard on yourself. ;)
I'm outlining, researching the Royal Corp of Engineers, and obsessing over agent responses.
Hooray for progress!! Sometimes the voice likes to take its own sweet time but I'm sure you will find it eventually :) I'm going to tackle revisions tonight. Maybe with a big purple pen!
Glad to see you're still blogging (even though you don't have to).
Writing's going so-so, as usual. I need to be writing on a schedule for the flow to start, but I haven't been able to muster up the determination. I think I'll give it another stab right now, in fact.
Hoorah for blogging! And we're hard at work on Book #2 in the Pemberly series. 10,000 words down.
Yay for blogging every day and meeting your goals!
I need to figure out how to best take a screenplay I've been working on and turn it into a YA novel - as it's become to much for a screenplay.
