Merry Christmas!

I'm signing off until after Christmas. The cookies (and cakes, and caramels, and pies) are baked, the presents are wrapped, the house is...lived-in, and I'm calling it good.

I hope all of you, my blog buddies, have a fabulous holiday. I'm planning to unplug and just enjoy the merriment. As well as the baked goods.

So Merry Christmas to all! I'll see you on the flip side.

Holiday schedules

I'm convinced I won't be able to post anything coherent until after the first of the year. Somehow the days keep getting away from me and before I know it, another action-packed week has gone by.

Still, I'll try.

Thank you all for the suggestions on instilling emotion. I'm reading your links and suggestions in the hope that once the holidays chill out, I'll be able to complete this endless revision.

I've decided to write down my writing goals for 2010. First on the list, finish Skinwalkers. It's time. I feel as though I've been writing this story forever, though in reality it hasn't been all that long. And shorter still if I take into account it became an entirely new story this year. So maybe I'm not so off schedule. It feels like it though.

In other news, I'm a gift and a box of chocolates away from having my Christmas shopping complete. All I can say is I think I'm personally keeping UPS in business this year. Me alone. Amazon Prime is a wondrous thing, I'm telling you.

Lots of books going out as gifts. If nothing else, the recipients know how fond I am of the written word. And what better way to support fellow writers and the industry than to give books? So there it is.

Writing is slow. A tweak here, a new plot point there. I'm curious to see if it all jives together when the time comes to read it from start to finish. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my subconscious has been hard at work even when I'm not. Hey, a girl can dream can't she?

So how are you all? Big holiday plans? Are you ready? Share, share, share. Please.

A little wave

Sheesh! Give myself a week off for Thanksgiving and what happens? I totally fall off the blog-wagon. My apologies, dearies, but never fear. I'm back.

Will commence visiting all your lovely blogs immediately. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
